Rio Vaqueros Newsletter
May 30, 2017

I sent email to club members who provided email addresses to ensure the our mail list is accurate. Three members did not provide email addresses and one member’s letter was returned undeliverable. We will continue to work on the email until each member has a correct. address identified.

The club has been active this month with a long range shoot, fun shoot and a night shoot. The long range shoots are attracting more shooters each month and we had a good turn out for both the fun shoot and the night shoot. The courses were challenging and a good time was had by all.

I received the course of fire for the Postal ICORE match and will present it to the club at our next meeting. We will also shoot an ICORE qualifier at the next fun shoot. Please contact me if you would like to become an ICORE member.

I participated in a black powder revolver shoot this week and had a good time. Black powder competition requires much more time as the reloading time is extended. This may be something the club may consider as an event in the future.

We have three new Range Safety Officers as Rodney, Gary and Bruce participated in the required NRA class and met the requirements established by NRA, additionally, Carl was re-certified.

The meeting for June will be cancelled as Carl and Rodney will be out of town on a job site. The June shoots will be held as they are normally scheduled.

If any member has anything they would like included in the news letter please email it to me and I will include it.

Thank you,
